The Briefing Page
After generating your SimBrief OFP, you'll land on the Briefing Page — a comprehensive Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) that puts everything you need in one place. The page is organized into tabs so you can quickly find the information you need.
Overview Tab
The default view shows your flight summary at a glance:
- Flight card — Airline, flight number, departure/arrival airports, scheduled times, and your SimBrief OFP ID.
- Route map — Your planned route plotted on an interactive map with departure and arrival markers.
- Fuel summary — Block fuel, trip fuel, reserves, alternate fuel, and taxi fuel.
- Quick actions — Load in Flight Logger, load in ACARS, view/edit OFP, and file to VATSIM or IVAO.
Weather Tab
Current weather at your departure and arrival airports:
- Decoded METARs with wind, visibility, clouds, and temperature.
- TAF (Terminal Aerodrome Forecast) for both airports.
- SIGMET and AIRMET information when available.
ATC Live Tab
See which air traffic controllers are currently online on VATSIM and IVAO:
- Controllers at your departure airport (Tower, Ground, Approach, etc.).
- Controllers at your arrival airport.
- En-route controllers (Centers/ACC) along your route.
- An interactive map showing your route with ATC coverage areas.
Flight Plan Tab
The full SimBrief OFP text in its original format. This is the same document you'd see if you opened the OFP on the SimBrief website.
Performance Tab
The TLR (Takeoff and Landing Report) with detailed performance calculations for your flight, including V-speeds, required runway length, and weight limitations.
Aircraft Tab
Everything about the aircraft you're flying:
- Aircraft identity — Registration, type, airline, and location.
- Maintenance health — Overall health percentage and A/B/C check progress bars.
- Open MEL items — All deferred defects with category badges and due dates.
- Recent flights — The last 5 flights this aircraft has operated.
- Link to the full tech log page for more details.
Crew & PAX Tab
Passenger and crew information for your flight, including load factor and the flight timeline showing the turnaround schedule.
Filing to VATSIM & IVAO
If you fly on online networks, you can file your flight plan directly from the briefing page. Click the VATSIM or IVAO button and your flight plan will be pre-filled with all the correct details from your SimBrief OFP — callsign, route, altitude, fuel, and equipment codes.
