Grant Aviation traces its roots to 1971 in Emmonak, Alaska, and grew by acquiring several small bush operators across the state. It now serves the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, Bristol Bay and the Aleutians from bases at Anchorage, Bethel, Dillingham, King Salmon, Kenai, Cold Bay and Unalaska, carrying passengers, mail and freight.
More than a hundred Alaskan communities rely on Grant Aviation, most of them without road connections. Essential Air Service contracts cover villages around Bethel and Dillingham as well as Akutan and St. George in the Aleutians. The fleet is built around the Cessna 208 Caravan and Cessna 207, with GippsAero GA8 Airvans, Piper Navajos and King Airs.
